I'm having the oil pickup pipe changed, new oil, new filter, sump resealed and new sump plug
I'm supplying all parts so won't cost much and before anyone says why don't you do it yourself I don't trust myself take the sump off and reseal it without leaks so I'd rather a garage do it lol seeing as I'm supplying the parts I can't Imgen it costing much and I don't know if its ever been changed so don't want my engine seezing like what has happened to some members

didn't you get a quote before they started the work? risky if you didn't. id say about £80 should cover it

Well I have got all the parts from VW yesterday.
* new sump plug.
* 5l 5w 40 platuim.
* oil filter.
* sump sealant.
* oil pickup pipe.
Came to about £68.
I'm just waiting for the garage to call me back with a quote for the work.
