Machine polisher, which one?

Im looking at buying a machine polisher, but its new to me and not sure what i should be looking for 

I have a budget of around £100-150

Also what pads would i need? i have read the guides but its still a little confusing

A Dual Action is nice but takes forever to machine swirls out. If you are new to machine polishing then
DAS-6 Pro is the most common DA.

Experienced then buy a rotary with 3M pads (keeping it simple)

Thanks, can you use normal car stuff, such as auto finesse? or does it have to be specifically for machine polishers?

For best results your better with a polish that will work with a machine.

I'm looking to perhaps get into car detailing, (purely as a hobby), so just bought a Meguiars G220v2 with two pads, (Polisher and Finisher), and a bottle of Meguiars Ultimate Compound.  Have ended up with about 15 micro-fibre cloths chucked in.

I'm hoping it'll be appropriate to get me started and to help maintain my and my other half's newish cars.  If I don't get on with it I'll let you know...it'll be within your budget!

You might meed some sort of cutting pad aswell and a few different levels of polish.

Yeah, I've been looking at a 7" Cutting pad, and also perhaps a smaller set for the slightly trickier areas.  Plus I'll check out some other compounds.

Yea for sure and you might even find that your never done buying pads and polish.  Get some cutting pads for jobs the polishing pad can't do and some spot pads for round the boot, just remember you'll need a smaller backing plate aswell for them.

The smaller, 4"pads came with a backing plate.
