Wheels sizes.....
« on: 03 February 2013, 20:05 »
Hi, just a quick enquiry, thinking about getting some newer bigger wheels for my 1.8t. I'm just about to put some eibach springs on, which drops 30mm. I'm think 17's will be good but I seen a lot of cars with 18s on..... But would they rub?? Or arches need rolling?
Thanks , so basically 17's or 18's???

18's all day long. You will no issues with rubbing if you're putting eibach springs on.

18"s will be fine, 225/40/18's are the tyre size you will need, look for an offset of around et35 and you will be fine for clearance.

What if they were 10j wide with a et15?

They will be very tight for clearance.

It was a rhetorical question.
