You can get a toat ai606 for 200ish (i have it in my car and its a good alarm)

Thats the one bud. Might be cheaper on ebay. I paid 245 fitted by a pro (got the certificate for insurance too)

its the fitter that matters. A badly fitted alarm is useless (even with a thatcham cert) and will cause you non stop issues

try your local area's audio/security co's and see what they offer (and ask around for feedback from people who have used them, if possible?)

vw only fitted a basic horn sounding alarm as standard (with the immobiliser key), all the rest were vw options (scorpion were the main supplier)
