3" maf

Hey guys, I've tried searching but cant really find a definitive answer, Where can I get hold of a 3" maf for and agu lump, will a mk3 vr6 one fit or do I have to look elsewhere?
1999 1.8t AGU, KNN Panel filter, Smoothed air box, Custom CAI, Forge 007 dv, REVO stage 1, 3" eBay TBE. Audi TT quickrack.

To come - A DIY hybrid K03 and a whole lot of supporting mods!

i think you use a vr6 housing with the actual sensor itself put into the vr6 housing

This.

You will obv need some bigger hoses to and from airbox etc.

I've allready got a 3" K04 tip waiting to go on when I finally finish building my hybrid. Does the aug maf sensor fit straight into the vr6 housing or is a bit of modification needed?

Just to throw it out there I got a maf from a v5 bora is this the correct size (same size as vr6?)



2000 GTI 1.8t ARZ, S2000 filter, DSG intake, Forge 007 dv, Catch can, R-tech custom remap, 3" Supersize Silicone TIP, Powerflex dog bone, 'The Beast' FMIC, Ultimate delete, LCR fuel pump, 3" Turbo back, K03 hybrid, Ported Manifold, S3 injectors, 80mm maf = 280bhp 270lbft :evil:

For you I think it is mate yes. AGU MAF elements won't fit in them

the vr6 MAF needs to be from an OBD II car, early OBD I housings won't work.

AGU or VR6 sensor is fine, whichever is in better health, same part.

This is AGU only info though, as the sensor bolts are 90 degrees different to later AUM/AUQ stuff, which require S3/LCR/TT MAF housings for larger turbos :)

Also some of the sensors inside a tt one are the same bosch part numbers, as I found out on my aqu / bam sensors
