MKIV Styling tips - Jazz Blue V5
« on: 01 February 2013, 21:14 »
Evening all

New on here - posted up a welcome thread as is the done thing but would like to pic your brains.

Been involved in the Jap scene for a while now so have a certain style of modification that is accepted on the old rice rockets. My weekend toy (a 300BHP MR2 turbo) is getting close to being completed and I intend to then take on the MKIV Golf.

Now, I am certainly NOT a fan of kit on the Golf. Never have been. What I intend to go for is a smoothed look. Rims wise I think I will be crossing back to my Jap roots although I understand the PCD on the MKIV is 5x100. I was thinking along the lines of The Rota D2-EX (http://www.rotawheels.com/wheel.php?id=17) with a serious drop on coilovers.

Do you think these would work? I think they would look great against the blue.

SO what subtle styling options would you recommend? The car is completely stock other than an aftermarket exhaust which I think looks AWFUL (Swept DTM Oval style )

Go wild guys - any pics you could send my way along a smoothed Euro look line?

Jay
