First mod on new motor. K&N and mod'ed air box.
« on: 01 February 2013, 19:43 »
Fitted a K&N yesturday and mod'ed the air box. I removed the 90 degree bend on the box and cut the narrow trumpet out and trimmed the other end down to make the inlet about 2", then refitted it the wrong way round, with a lenth of alloy air ducting that catches air coming into the driverside bumper vent. Heres a few pics.

Just before th bend that aims at the vent iv zip tied it to the subframe. It could just do with a bit of rubber round the pipe to stop it eventaly rubbing away at the alloy pipe. Dident do it the other night to as i on back in the dark with a torch in my gob. Will get round to it one day :-)
