 :laugh: no it aint the sound of da police
my front wheel bearing has given up the ghost , making a whoop whoop sound under braking
guess what im doing tomorrow  :grin:

Hope ya got access to a press to get the old bearing out and new bearing in!

drifted the old one out with a 41mm socket & a heavy steel washer 1/4" thick
 (railway industry for 30 years  :grin:) probably drive the new one in using a vice, we shall see ...

using the old bearing as a drift , & a vice the new bearing went in nice
only problem i now have is what's the right torque setting for the hub nut ???
my old green cover Haynes manual , has 2 different settings in 2 different chapters  :rolleyes:

Bentley manual says 195ft/lb or 265Nm for the metric lovers.

wouldnt go by book just tighten it up till you cant no more on a 1mtr wrench  :smiley:
