To be fair I'm surprised my dad is in a wheel chair and not dead. Years ago I had showed him this video and he told me this is how he used to ride in his Kawasaki ZXR750 back in the early 90s.

He had a friend who was racing in a national motorcycle championship in Spain and he used to give my used but usable slick tyres. There's a load of photos somewhere of my dad in the middle of nowhere with all his mates and my mum with a bump (me) standing over a grass verge watching him race up and down this empty B road, elbow down on the tarmac.
