1.4 TDI.

You owned a Polo and it's pretty much the same except a few mor MPG and more fun handling.

Currently been looking at them for the girlfriend.

1 litre is mildly nippy but you will constantly be wanting more power. Gearboxes do go as they do on the Polos.

Surprisingly lots of space up front. Tiny boot but the seats go down.

I like them tbh.

Where all my moneys went.

Always struck me as having a nice interior, especially for the class of car.

Hello Shaun

It would be a multi purpose vehicle

1, I would look at getting one needing work this project

b, toy for me to squeeze my ass into !

iii, come July and I am doing no more than 8 miles a day - vectra would go so daily duties

And finally - summat to teach youngest to drive in and maybe even the wife to convert her over from automatic only licence !

Happy

So 1.4tdi's are out due to insurance for a young 'un

Have you checked the insurance out? I have found it to be cheaper than the 1.4 petrol and 32 quid a year more than the 1l for my younger brother.

They do have a surprising amount of space. With me (6ft) in the drivers seat, my brother (6ft 2) could easily fit in the back. Mind you neither of us are chunky

Would you consider the SEAT version, the Arosa if a better one came up?
