Deansgate Locks has a couple of alright bars/clubs that are worth checking out.  Check out Revs and Bar Bar's for cheap shots.  Deansgate has a good mixture of cheap pubs and fancy bars.  The Northern Quarter is a great night out, but a bit pricier as it's mainly cocktail bars.  The bar are also smaller, so the chances of getting a large group of lads in is incredibly small.

The whole city is lined with Wetherspoons' mind you

Warehouse project has a couple of smaller events on in Feb. The main events are Sept-Dec, I went to a couple of them last year, some big nights out but it's got to be your thing.

Sankeys is good if you're into the music, otherwise it's just a bit of a dirty club full of pill heads. I'm there next Friday for Laidback Luke, then again on 15th for Paul Oakenfold, Jordan Suckley & Simon Patterson

The strip club on Deansgate (no idea what it's called but it's the Victoria station side) is good if you like to pay a bit extra for a full dirty nude strip that will nearly make you cream your pants.
......now officially dubless.

Sankeys is ok if you like staying in one place and listening to house music..

Short and sweet?
Head for deansgate lock and/or gay village (its not as scary as you think and a quality night out, coming from a straight man :) ) and AVOID printworks!
