My car seem's to tick over!!

My car run's perfectly fine. But the only problem i seem to have with the car is when I start it.
It's fine when the car is warm though, its when its cold? I start the car, and it die's on me.
But if i start the car and put my foot on the gas pedal sightly it doesnt die, but it will if you then
take your foot of the pedal? Its slightly annoying, but I dunno what the problem could be?

Try a advanced search. Just search the mk3 and search for car stalling when cold.

Which engine? My ABF almost cut out, revs would dip to around 200 and go up and down, then eventually die. Vac line from inlet to ecu had collapsed, replacing it solved it

I started the car today, for the first time in just over a week due to the snow.
And I had to keep reving it other wise it would just cut out. Took it out of a little while and
It seemed fine, didnt wanna cut out if I stopped!
But the rev's do seem high!
