Fitting Sunroof Seal (Is it easy)

Ordered a new sunroof seal yesturday from GPC and was wondering
how to fit it? I guess it wont have instructions, can anybody recommend how to fit it

I just replaced my old sunroof the metal type, and all components including seal and if you take your time not too bad a job really. Use the bentley manual the pics really helped me. Would have been even better if it didnt start raining halfway through!

there is a link to it at the top of the page or i think you can buy a copy of it on amazon. i think i'm right in saying its an american version of haynes but more comprehensive.

Open the sunroof half way and pull down on the inner roof liner.  Its held on with a few clips along the front edge.  Once unclipped slide it to the rear and close the sunroof again.  You can now see all the bolts holding the panel in, pretty straight forward when you're looking at it just undo em and remove the clips.  Then push on the sunroof gently so it pops out, then remove it from the car from above.

Then sit it down on some sheets or carpet so you dont scratch the paint and remove the old seal.  Get the new seal and press it into place, I used a hammer to gently tap it all the way on, bracing the roof against my knee, difficult to explain :grin:

started raining on me too lol btw i made a mistake theres two different size screws to hold the sunroof on make sure you dont use the longer ones in the wrong place! i did and it came through the sunroof :cry:
