I've started saving for an Edition 40.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

So I'll expect you to be amongst the first to be posting in the MK7 section saying I've ordered a GTI then...

Similar dilema

Could easliy spend another £3k on my Ed30 to impove handling, braking and take it up to 330 bhp+ but likewise could put that towards a Mk7 GTi.

Watching MK7 GTi developments with interest.
Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :

Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6  - Now sold and replaced with :

Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long

Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement

Not feeling the itch as the Ed35 is nicely sorted, mrs w isn't feeling the itch either until bigger turbo one is out and reckons she should have gone 5 door red Ed35 as loves her Pirelli

The Ed35 isn't my daily so would be a waste swapping it so soon

Not yet, as it's still a "Concept"

Don't read too much into manufacturer's mpg claims, they're wildly optimistic. My missus is waiting for delivery of a new A3, and on the Audi forum everyone is moaning theirs won't do the claimed 70+mpg.....

Dangerous to get your hopes up for a car the manufacturer don't acknowledge exists yet! I can't see it exactly being a leap forward from an ED35.
