newbie....
« on: 24 July 2005, 14:40 »
....hi ya'll!

thought id introduce myself, ive been browsing the forum for a few weeks now, getting my fix of loverly motah's in the galleries, and so on. you seem a very friendly bunch of people, and was sort of directed here by jimmyoldskool.

ive not got a golf, but am a big fan and have been into the whole scene for a few years now! and helped a few mates out with resto's and the like.

ive got a mk2 escort (but dont hold that against me!) and ill put a few pics up in the right section once ive got a bit of time.

i was a member over on cgti (maybe a bit of a whore), but feel that its let itself down over the last few months, and become a bit snobby! so after being banned over something so petty as swearing, feel that its not the place for me! so will need to get my fix of vw's somewhere else! which is where you lot come in!

great stuff guys!

hmm, i cant really remember the 'old days', as im only 18, but that doesnt mean i cant relive them!

i decided yesterday that im now on the lookout for a golf, its gotta be a 1.3 , with small bumpers, not overly bothred about the condition as long as it is capable of passing an mot, and not really fussed about tax or mot, as long as it 'could' pass an mot with little or no work! something ratty i can use while the escort is being resprayed! oh, and it has got to be cheap....very cheap! no more than a ton! so if you lot know of any thing, then lemme know!

Welcome to the site.  Good work with the eescort, there's a few people on here that will admit to having a soft spot for the old school fords and I'd include myself in that and yes I do remember them.
......now officially dubless.

Drove them as company cars back in the 70's!

Would still love an RS1800 if I could find one!
