3 things spring to mind.
The starter, tap it lightly with a hammer whilst someone tries to start it, then beat it hard with a big hammer, if it doesnt work the starter was probably ok before you beat it with the big hammer.
Second the battery, for the sake of 5 minutes swop another one into it or get a running car with some jump leads onto it.
third thing and its got a good chance if its not the other 2, check the cables to the starter and the Engine bay earth cables, a bad connection will cause enough volt drop to stop it starting
