clutch problems ?

Fellt my clutch slip yesterday and again today,is my clutch gone? Or will it last out?
Ive booked it in for monday,gona cost me £320 for new clutch and fitting.gutted as ive only  just paid £255 for new sportex cat back exhaust.

Any ideas or views appreciated  :smiley:

If its old like all my golfs have been there is adjustment available to get every mm out it  :grin:

But then as said above, without knowing it's pointless having this  conversation. :laugh:

After reading again the fact its got a cat sunk in so its certainly not old skool.

I am guessing from your past posts it is a mk3 8v, if it is slipping I doubt it will last, get them to check and confirm the crankshaft oil seal is all ok as it could be oil getting onto the clutch.

Meh, depends how bad it is and how you drive it from now on. Doesn't sound like its doing it all the time.  I drove on a slipping clutch for ages once, made itself known under load in high gears, then on steep hills then all gears then finally got round to changing it.  :grin:

Lol, we had that problem in my mates car many years ago, tried to get to a party and on the way couldnt get up a big hill cause of it slipping. Gave it a few goes then had to give up and go home!  :grin:
