In Car Security Camera
« on: 15 January 2013, 20:32 »
Hi All,

It’s just something i have been thinking about. Although I don’t live in a rough area, I do live on the outskirts of town where there is a lot of foot traffic and especially on weekend evenings. Again, the area is not known for its car crime but it has its moments, I’ve had my current car keyed.

One think that came to my mind was possibly fitting a security camera into the Golf and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and could point me in the right direction of any good websites etc.

 Thanks

Bringing this back up again as there has been a spike in vandalism in my area. Looking for either an in car camera that can run of its own batteries or the car battery somehow even if the car’s engine is off.

or possibly a wall mounted camera, pointed at my house the only problem with this is that my car is not always parked in the same spot so the camera lens would been to be controllable remotely

This might help, just had a look for you...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-cameras-FREE-memory-P-P-UK-legal-video-camcorders-car-accident-recorders-/221182476442?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item337f80c09a

Could be worth recording at night if nothing happens then record over it the next night, but if it does you have it there.

Not a bank breaker either! :)
