For those who aren't aware of the best radio station on the planet, BBC 6Music has been broadcasting 10 years this year.  To celebrate they're doing one of those 'Best 100' things - best 100 tracks released in the lifetime of the station.  The list is here for voting:

I appreciate it's not got the usual mainstream shyte in it, or that minority interests probably aren't represented as well as some might like, but it's a pretty broad, influential and significant set of releases listed in there.

What track would you choose from the last 10 years, from their shortlist only?

It was a tough choice, but I went for "No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age.

Really into them at the moment and looking forward to their new album.

I see the point of the list as being those releases which are significant because they move the music scene forward, or do something new and novel/interesting.

White Stripes and LCD Soundsystem are vying for my vote on this basis.

There are some other excellent tracks in there, especially stuff like QOTSA, but why are they SO special that they stand out above all else?

Probably up there in my top songs of all time.

There are some good ones on the list though; Bon Iver, Goldfrapp, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire...

When I saw That National last month they actually had Richard Reed Parry from Arcade Fire on guitar which was pretty cool.

Anyway, The National get my vote, self produced, self arranged orchestral loveliness with Matt Berninger's ridiculous baritone voice.

I prefer their album Boxer as it still retained some of their post-rock influence but High Violet is a production value masterpiece.

Qotsa and Johnny cash are hard for me to separate for top spot, but thats cos I like their other stuff a lot...
