advice on ecu swap

Hi all... im planning on buying an already remapped ecu for my mk4 golf gti, can anyone tell me what i need and need to do in order to swap ecu's... is it something that can be done and how hard isit?

the ecu is from an agu which mine is also... thanks in advance.

as a decent tuner will be able to have the map the way you want it  an is the ecu unlocked so you dont need the key

also a decent tuner will check your car over 1st to make sure its ready for a map,so i would just go that route
