ABF engine

Wanting to change the timing belt on the engine in my car as its not the original and I have no Idea when it was last changed.

I want to do it with a mate to keep costs down. I'm about to buy a Haynes manual but wondering if this is all I will need...

...Or do I need new gaskets or seals or anything. I hear your supposed to change the water pump but I don't really want to change that

Don buy qh sh!te. Spend abit more and get gates, ina or even genuine belt and tensioner

I assume the kit comes with a tensioner too?

Which would be better out of the continental one and gates?...anyone got a link because I can't find one.

Anything I should think about before starting?

Gates and Conti are both OEM suppliers so would say equal quality.
Dayco is also reputable (they are also doing OEM)...

thinking before you start is a good idea, just make sure you got all parts and tools (think special tools!) you need.... always prone to just find out your missing something on saturday afternoon just 5 mins after parts places close...  :rolleyes: never happened to me thou :whistle:

Is it as good as the before mentioned Gates and Conti?

So if i quote that I'll get it for £23.85. Is the price shown including the VAT?

Does that work on any parts on the site?
