Got my new throttle cable..

And the golf's soooo much better to drive now 

On with the full respray and engine rebuild!

A bit random but i'm happy about it

that made a huge differnce to mine a new cable the pedal was so light i kept giving it to much power :S

Clutch cable is next though!

did that too new clutch and cable although clutch didnt get lighter but i could finally drive the thing instead of sitting in one spot reving lol

Didn't it get lighter?? That was my plan The pedal sits higher than the rest to which makes around town journeys a bit of a chore!

New clutch with a new cable usually does the lightening trick, if the pedal is sitting high then could I ask how the clutch feels to you now as drive it when in traffic and cold?

Sounds like the plastic stop which clips on to the pedal box is missing
