Part Identification

Hi guys looking for some help,

I need to identify a part that is missing on my near side front but is present on the offside. Ive attached two pictures with and without, if anyone knows what its called id be most grateful.

My car is a 99 Mk4 20v 1.8GTi (150bhp)

Not a clue, it must have been that bad that it disintegrated in the cold weather, couldn't tell you haha!

I run over shadows it knocks haha, its that bad!
