My 8v was never that good on fuel around town tbh, 22mpg tops.

Glad to hear you guys' answers.. your figures don't seem to be much higher than mine. I believe I'll be able to squezze more out of it when I do the maintenance steps discussed here :) Then I'll hopefully be around 25-30 (tops) around town.

Clean the injectors. They are probably clogged up and the spray patterns are probably way out which stops the fuel combusting cleanly and evenly, losing you power, lowering mpg and increasing emissions.
