Not been on for a while
« on: 09 January 2013, 20:27 »
Hi

I went to register but it flashed up I already had a account.  So looking at my profile I havent been on here since 2006 .  Anyways im looking to change this time next year so I want to do abit of research over the next few months.  At the mo I have a 2006 R32 which ive had since Aug 2010 but fancy a change.  Depending on money not sure if I should get a TDI or a petrol.  I dont use my R32 much now as the cost of fuel is sky high and the 40 mile trip to work doesnt help.  My list of cars im looking at are:

MK6 GTI
MK6 GTD
Focus MK2 RS
Focus MK3 ST
Leon cupra R
Leon FR 170 TDI
Rocco R

So im saving my money and hoping to pay off most of my credit cards by next year so I can get something rapid instead of a boring diesel.

I do love it but sick of putting £20 in it and you go up the road and it flashes again refill. Plus £465 roadtax a year. So I think diesel is the way but I'm thinking going from a 3.2 petrol to a diesel will I miss the power and get pissed off? So maybe a GTI but depends how much the 09 plates are next year. When I tried to sell mine in the summer I wanted 9-10k but got offers of 8 so I said feck this ill keep it. It's on 70k miles at the mo and prob be up to 80 next year so if I can get 8k or more ill be happy
