Weird starting prob

I got into my car today, when I put my key in the ignition my radio comes on, today nothing. Then turned the key, nothing happened at all, completely dead apart from the speedo rev meter moving slightly. I popped the bonnet, but before I could do anything, I heard the radio, got back in the car and it started 1st time, and was fine for the rest of the day.

It happened before a few days ago, I just put it down to a loose connection somewhere. Anyone got any other ideas?

Probably ignition switch as original often fails ,£5 on ebay

And an arse to fit , I got a volksbits one that has a faulty plug , its brand new ! such a pain to change I took the executive decision an opted for a cable tie round it

Took me about an hour to do, quite cramped in the footwell, I recommend removing the seat, but pretty simple.
