Stance question please advise
« on: 06 January 2013, 17:08 »
How do, finally decided to get some new wheels, just need some help with tyre sizes and spacers.

I'm currently running
Mk5 r32 wheels 18X7.5j et35 with 225/40/18 tyres all round running 10mm spacers upfront and 15mm spacers on rear. Both wheels sit flush with the arch which I'd like to achieve on new wheels.

The new wheel spec are
18X8.5j et 35 front &18x9.5j et35 rear

I'm a total stance fitment noob so I'd really appreciate if someone could help with tyre size and spacers for new wheels?

THANKS

TBH mate your best bet is to get the wheels on the car without spacers and measure out how far you need to space them. Personally I'd stick with with the 225/40 on the fronts and maybe a 235 on the rear, would give you a bit of stretch but nothing stupid

Yer thats what I was thinking but Im desperate to put them on so I was thinking about just putting my 225/40/18s off my current wheels all round on the new wheels as there under 6 months old but dont want to try and fit my new wheels and realise they hit the shocks. ive got 10mm & 15mm spacers to fit if required but screwed if they do scrub

8.5j et35 all round. 225 40 18. I can squeeze 15mm spacers on the rear with next to no scrubbing. Just about get 10mm on the front. You should be ok. Just!
