Hi guys im new on here. Just wanting others with Mk6 GTD's to introduce themselves so I can have a sneaky peek at their cars 

Ive got a 5 door 2012 Golf GTD DSG: Tornado Red: 18" Charleston Shadows: RCD 510: Parking Sensors: Heated Leather Seats

It is less than 2 months old and I am loving it! For now it is basically standard but hopefully with advice from others, in the next few months im hoping to add on the following;
*Remap
*Factory DRL's
*Front splitter + Rear spoiler + Side mirrors: All wrapped in carbon fibre vinyl
*Currently have RCD 510, but hoping to swap it for the Nav + 30gb Hard drive version

PLEASE if anyone has any comments on these, please feel free to let me know. Im quite a newbie and would like to build my knowledgebase on these cars. So if theres any tips or advice it would be much appreciated!

Looks real tidy and the right number of doors too but it looks better in CW

Plans sound good, I made the mistake of not speccing Xenons and I regretted it ever since, every time I saw a fellow vw It wud remind me of the mistake I had made   well that was until Kenny(forum member) sold me his copies...they don't do all the functions that the OEM ones do but that don't bother me as I wanted them purely for there looks...I also didn't spec the Charlestons as I've always loved the look of the Shadows...

Did you spec your GTD or was it a ready made order?

I haven't got round to mapping mine yet but it is on the short list...when you decide to take the plunge give The Doc(Craig) forum mod a shout, he's a top fella who runs a mapping company called Carbon ChipTuning he's got his own GTD and made a map esp for the GTD producing somewhere in the region of 200bhp & 330 lb.ft...so happy days GTI power with diesel economy!!!

Sorry youve lost me at CW? 

The GTD was a ready made order which was sitting in the factory ready to be shipped over. My dealer spent an hour and a half with me going through all the specs of each different car which was ready made. Originally my idea was to go with a WHITE 5 door DSG with xenons and charsletons, but in the end made the decision of going with RED and also the RCD510 plus charlestons. In the end I am happy with my decision as I think red is the new white.

But as mentioned I do wish i had xenons  But hopefully in due course, they will be retro fitted along with DRL's + the RCD510 with a hard drive.

Im hoping to break my engine in a further few thousand miles (currently at 6k) then it shall be remapped by The Doc.

The whole reason I joined this forum is cos of Carbon's knowledge with GTD's and comments on other posts. I like the professionalism shown by them and knowledge, something which is not offered with the various companies in my local area.
E.G. I called VW BLACKBURN the other day, asked to be put through to someone who will be able to fit an option to my car, representitive answers and asks how he can help, "Id like more info on fitting DRL's to my mk6 golf gtd". In response he answered: "what are DRL's". 

Immediatley I hung up in pure shock.

The original plan was to get it in CW. But it is waaaay too overused and personally I think red is the new colour for all new vehicles

Defo looks HOT in 5dr form and red that's for sure and I think red wud have been I choice if CW wasn't available...
