It appears to have turned out reasonably well. Saying that though, I wish I still had my Edition 35 and not gone through all this trauma.

You can bet your bottom dollar, GAP is on the cards next.

I have just got hold of the engineers report.  It makes fascinating reading, listing every nut and bolt, body panel etc etc etc required, approx 20 pages.  Total cost to repair over £20000.

It hasn't but some dealers will take a deposit for when it does. Mine has £250 but not sure what it'll be for as there is loads of speculation on the Beetle R, Golf R Cab for the wife or mk7 R for me.

They're not but i imagine it's for allocation purposes cos it was a bloody nightmare with the mk6! :angry:
