« on: 03 January 2013, 00:18 »
ive been thinking about getting another key sorted . ive got that r-clic central locking kit on the way with key fobs blanks ect . so i have two keys now and will swap the transponders over in to them .

if i ever needed or wanted to make another key up . can you re-program old transponder chips say from another car tomatch mine or can buy a blank one a program it with vag com ?

just an idea , its late , i have work in the morning , but the sooner i get to sleep the sooner work comes round  :embarrassed:

Timpsons can make you a key and programme the chip, just take your current key with you with the V5 document, proof of identity and a utility bill. I think it costs around the 30 quid mark. They can't do central locking fobs though!

it might be a bit more..the last time i was there it cost £45 in Bracknell...but that is still less than dealer prices.
