me old 8v is makin a rubbin noise when accelerating out of bends, and on the straights in a bobbing fashion, the car is well low all round but cant see any marks of fowling on the inner arches or tyres, its got standard pirreli wheels and tyres, it only seem to do it when under acceleration or load it think bit hard to explain! any ideas?

yeah i had that problem.

I also had burst shocks due to lowering springs.

Does your car have a full exhaust system?
Does it sit lower at the back than the front?

I found that it was my full aftermarket exhaust hitting the under side of the car and the lower back end (burst shocks) made the exhaust sit un-even and caused that noise.

i later changed the shocks for coilovers. That sorted the noise for me  :)

Check yours out let us know.

well its got new jamex all round (3 months old) so i dont think its a shock and spring prob, just rubbing on hard acceleration out of corners and any bobbing on a straight road!, gonna have to have the wheels off and check cuase it still sound s like tyre rub, but its only on the orig pirreli P's with 185/60/14's so cant see them fouling, mind you the front is bloody low!
