well thoses engines never wear out.  cars with them in don't wear out much ether.  you'll get 100,000 miles to a  set of brakepads  so some possible upsides

but they are slow  so slow infact a granny in a mobility scooter is proably goes faster

Im going to be saving alot more than i was driving the vr daily so ill invest in new snowboarding equipment, and its going to be used to drive to other countrys to board. And who doesnt like roadtrips.

Plus ill have less headaches...  vr + straight through exhaust + motorway = ney good

You're not 'investing' in snowboarding kit, you're spending money on snowboarding kit.

Unless it's going to deliver a return on investment?

On the up-side you'll be spending well under half on fuel vs what you would have been with the V6 motors.

On the down-side you've bought the wrong diesel.  50MPG TDI Golf3, Passat, Vento, Seat or Skoda would have been a much better choice - more poke and economy probably around the same.

Come to a half way and say im investing in fun!  driving, staying in hostels and buying my own equipment is still cheaper than flying, hotel and renting equipment 

My daily comute is the M6 motorway, 90% of my miles are taken up their. Always busy but usually a 70mph pace. Its shouldnt be an issue having less power than the elecy window motor 

Ill always get my money back i recon, paid £550 for it with a years MOT and 6tax. Super clean through out and has air con

My R plate Seat Cordoba TDI variant (estate)  was probably one of the most reliable and cheap to run cars ive ever owned until some tw@t in a Transit ploughed into whilst it was parked.
