difference from my 97 colour concept and my mates 95 colour concept

I've got a yellow colour concept, 1997 yellow. And my mates got a 95 yellow colour concept, noticed that the side repeaters on mine are rounded and the 95's are square I researched that's because of the year but now seen that on my door card the plastic trim holding my electric window swich is 1 whole piece covering the door handle and grab rail! But in the 95 concept its a short piece that breakes just behind the the switch and dousnt cover the handle, this cannot be an age thing because in an old gti wich was also 97 it had the same trim as the 95, can any 1 shed light on the manufacturing differences, and whether there are any more I have missed?

95 is cross over year. A 95 is a mix of old and new. My 95 16v had round side repeaters but had 280mm brakes.

They are obd1 and obd2 this stands for on board diagnostics. The port is different the brakes changed from 280mm to 288mm the side indicators changed. I think fogs came as standard from 96 where as they where a extra. I think the leather door cards changed but the cloth stayed the same.

Engines changed in the 8v gti and the vr6 inlet changed for emissions.

I could be wrong and there could be more, but this is what I've worded out

Strange as my 97 door cards are different to the 95 and 98!

Could of been swapped before your ownership.
Was they all leather? And all colour concepts?
