mk3 gearbox mount replacement ?

Has anyone got a DIY or some sort of guidance on the replacement of the gearbox mount on the 1.8 ( also same on an 8v gti ? ) ,

ive had a quick look and it looks like the mount sits in a cylinder in the subframe . bolts down to that with two bolts . and the arm from the box to the mount just has a bolt in the top . so support box un do and remove ?

anyone has any advice would be appreciated .

Loosen the top bolt first (in the center). If the mount is really fcked it'll just turn, if this happens then use mole grips to clamp the plate on top of the mount to the bracket. Once this is out, the rest is easy. Unbolt the two bolts that hold the mount to the subframe. If you then lift the gearbox a bit you can probably wiggle it out, if not then it's only a couple of bolts holding the bracket to the gearbox, just whip it off. Fitting is the same stuff but the other way.
