Lots and Lots of....water! in my driver footwell!
« on: 23 December 2012, 20:53 »
I went out to go for a drive and there was loads of water in my driver footwell but seems that its the rear footwell that the water is building up in! Where could this been coming from? Has anyone else had this issue?
Golf GTI ... What else would you have?

you'll be hard pressed for proper pic's, open your sunroof, to the front in the corners you'll find two holes, theyre your drains and lead to the hinges in your front doors, there should be 3 main features in your doors, a big black ribbed pipe that houses all your wires to the doors, your door hinge and a black nippled. Take some side cutters and cut the crimps off the nipples for a start, then pull the black ribbed tube out of its socket and feel the inside, if its wet then the rigid pipe connecting the roof drains to the black nipple has slipped and the rigid pipe is pissing out all over the internal walls of your door frame and you'll need to follow what i did in the maintenance section, if not then you need to squeeze the nipples and get all the goose poop out
