I did the mod that is in the link to the Aussie site a couple of weeks ago. I intended to take them off after winter, and just use them for protecting the car from the worst of the crap that gets kicked up. After putting them on though, they're so discreet on a carbon grey car that I may just leave them.

Couple of days after fitting them I went to see the missus's parents who live down a dirt track. Was wet and muddy and the side of the car got off scot free from the thick mud. The previous time I went it was in a right state after leaving!

Being a Yorkshire lad, £12 for some rubber flaps, enough to make 8 out of so plenty if you make a mistake and 15 mins with a craft knife, and bob's your uncle  :cool:

Mind you I would still choose the rubber hose any day of the week  :lipsrsealed:
