mk5 gti seats in a mk4
« on: 20 December 2012, 09:07 »
May have found a half decent deal some mk5 5dr got seats...dimensions wise do to you know if they would fit? I'd be happy butchering the runners for the front to fit...but the rears just ' sit there' right?

i'm sure with a bit of DIY you can knock up a harness for the seats to sit in so they can be bolted down? alternatively take the harness off the MK4 base and attach that to the mk5 base?  :undecided:

the mk6 Gti interior is sexy though, think its one of my favouries next to the Volvo D60 with 2tone seude leather  :smug:

I'd happily have a go at making them fit by switching harnesses etc just need to know if the rear bench is . wide enough... :undecided:

Also on ED38, they take a bit of bodging and the back part doesn't look 100% right where it meets the side trims but it's something different
