Huge puddle, car dies?

Ok country lane drive. Huge flooded puddle area, went through then car died. Took a few minutes to start. Now drivibg lumpy. Except for leaving it to dry what can i do?

Definitely got water in somewhere bad, possibly distributor has water in it? Or in some other plugs.

Well its siting here for 2 hours before i need to drive it home. Then hopefully the 30 min drive will help dry it out. Got new leads n dissy to fit soon anywho  :grin:

Spray wd40 on coil and inside distributor cap.

Yes, but not while its running and wipe up the excess for obvious reasons :wink:

No bother. After 2hrs started first time and drove fine all the way home. Well as fine as a car thats had a power sapping misfire since i bought it can drive. 23rd dec now for ht leads and dissy change. Ill clean the rotor arm and d40 inside the cap whilst im at it too. Cheers for the advice fellas

Well if the car ran without distributor cap the . I'd be amazed  :grin:
