I'm going to buy a rear wiper motor on eBay so been checking part numbers but the numbers are the same apart from the letter on the end mine is 1j6955711c but others have f , d does the letter on the end matter ?

Letter is normally a revision or variant, I'll check ETKA now and edit this post with details.

Ok... 1J6955711C was original part number, D was dropped in 2002, F was dropped in 2003, and G has since been current one...

Most welcome, just to say that you can use any of those variants, there may be a small design change VW made each time but they are all compatible, if you find an older version and it works its all good.

Cheers for that I opened my motor today to hopefully see why it don't stop moving unless the ignition is off thought it'll be rusty but it was spotless no rust at all
