I've had a look on eurocarparts and am not sure as to the difference between the HT leads, rotors and caps they have for sale...my car looks like it has the cheaper cap..the more expensive rotor and has bosch leads....

the rotors and caps look really different...and just wondering why...??

I don't really know if the stuff eurocarparts has is any good or how to remove the rotor...(the sort of waxy paper thingy underneath the rotor looks kind of old...:)

Just wondering as you guys have more experience than me and maybe there are better places to buy stuff from or better brands////......

Oh I got a 1.8 AAM automatic..but i love the way it handles!though short on oomph!

Mk3 has two set up's ,Bosch and ducellier, the two caps are different , but by comparing yours to the photo you can work that out

By the sounds of it you have the bosch set up when looking on euro hit the specification tab an it states what system each part fits  , the dizzy cap clips on with two sprung arms and the body is black the bits where the leads go on are brown is Bosch ducellier dizzy is all one piece and all black   . The rotor arm just pulls off and can only go in one position .

The leads are no different if I remember correctly , one set is cheaper and I got them as I'm tight ;) , only issue I found was they were all the same length leads causing closest plugs having excess lead ,

All great quality and I have no complaints .

Ok so now do I have to stick with the Sagem brand, or are other brands compatible?I will take pictures of all of these things to ensure that the right stuff is on the car. I am not sure if you can put on other brands/types on the distributor. Is there anything on the distributor itself which will tell me what is the right brand/type of parts that fit it?

Any help would be very much appreciated..

As I said before I am not sure that this is the right distributor for this car....as I bought it used.

I don't know if the HT leads BERU are interchangeable with either Bosch or Sagem....(no idea)

Anyways hoping someone will know...sorry for the poor quality of the photos of the distributor itself!

Engine is AAM and if you need any other info please let me know or better photos!
