S3/LCR K04 charge pipe / fuel rail query
« on: 10 December 2012, 13:33 »
does anyone have an S3/LCR fuel rail picture, looked all over google and cant get anything, I'm just looking for the difference to the golf one, I believe where the fuel lines join it are different but wanted to see where so I can visualise the difference
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Yeah I need one from the drivers side to see where the pipes route around the K04 charge pipe, I think they are just bent different and are slightly longer (from what I have read anyway)
but can never get any pics that show it in situ with the K04

It's dark out side so I had to improvise

Last year I had the petrol lines replaced by the charge pipe. Due to the heat they perish after a while. Jabba sport replaced them while it was in for a service and they gave me details of what was replaced.

Hope that helps. If you want any more photos just let me know.

just looks too bloody close to me, my fuel pipes run extremely close and would be touching the K04 charge pipe if I didnt move them, and the K04 charge pipe gets very toasty after a thrashing, surely that is dangerous.................................

thats why I am looking to move them if possible  :undecided:

Because of the heat they dont last that long. They cost around 90 pounds to buy from the dealer when they need replacing. My car had done 64K miles when they where replaced last year.

I have seen people with coloured fuel lines before, so I may just look into changing them and extending them over the K04 charge pipe
