thats a shame what engine is that is it the one that comes from the 1.8 driver??

thats a shame what engine is that is it the one that comes from the 1.8 driver??
yeah same as mine, but don't think he's had the weber conversion. It's an F plate I think and he wants £1800 for it.

for that sort of money would deff get the gti, i know the philosophy of cabs that if u got the hood down why the hell do you wanna drive so fast well i dont want to get beaten off the light by a micra :grin:

As for the cabby, it depends on how much you want to spend, I'd personally go for a later Rivage (no surprise there then) or a Sportline. Again personal opinion, but I think the Rivage looks classier if you get the leather interior etc and the Sportline looks sportier. If you look around you can pick on of these up for just between 3 - 4k mark.

Rivages here varying in price from 3k to 6k :shocked:

Cost me £195 brand new for the weber and paid £60 for the bolt on K&N filer. Think I paid around £60 to have it fitted. I know you can pick up second hand webers for around £80. I'll be selling mine once I've had my 16v conversion.

Last rolling road day the power was 110 bhp and 128 torque at the flywheel. The standard GTI cabby that went on the rollers that day was 107 bhp and 102 torque at the flywheel  :wink: The operator was quite shocked that a carb model would put out more power than a GTI  :cool:
