Just don't buy a clipper if your after performance, they don't know the meaning of the word!

I know I don't intend to sell my cabby for a LONG time if that means anything.
  Right then,  I've got a Clipper with direct Weber carb replacement. 0-60 9.95 1/4 17.5 seconds . Gibby's GTI 1/4 mile was 17.2 so not true

Also, like to point out that my low performance clipper beat a GTI cabriolet on the rollers back in February too. BHP and torque  :lipsrsealed:

Throw the peirberg carb away on yer purple MK1 Clipper and get a weber, It'll be just as quick as a GTI then

Rivages and sportlines tend to hold ther value, and if you find a nice one you'll have youself a nice car,but if money's an issue buy a normal gti and do it up. i agreee don't buy a non gti there verrrrrrrrrrrrrry slow

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the main bits, the Rivage had 15" Le Castellette wheels as standard and the Sportline came with BBS something or others as standard.
......now officially dubless.

clippers are not slow, bronze's clipper is just as fast (if not faster) then  a GTI.
i was shocked the first time i drove his just how quick it was, then i remembered the good old std mk1 brakes as we came speeding into the roundabout lol
