I own a 2005 golf gti and im having trouble finding a maf sensor. Does anyone know where I can buy a MAF sensor sensor from other than vw?
The part number of the one currently on the car is 06F 906 461A

Tried them already and they don't stock it. I've looked all over and had no luck. Vw are wanting £115 for one!

Is that an outright price from VW? As you normally give your old one back and get £30 or so for the privilege
Try GSF or locate your local Bosch agent as the MAF's are manufactured by them

Mass Air Flow sensor, (it in the name) it tells the ecu how much air the engine is sucking in so it can add the right amount of fuel....

Try TPS? correct about VW offering money off for exhange I had £50 on mine
