engine cutting out

My gti mk3 is having an issue , the engine cuts out sometimes at low speed and I lose power steering and brakes
which is a little scary, starts again no problem any one got any idea of why its doing this?

read the other thread and not the same issue as mine starts and runs. this evening id been driving for 5-10 mins before it cut out , had a close up look at a lamp post

Best to take it to a garage with a code reader, unless any mates etc. have one?
That should rule in or out any sensors.

Have the exact same problem, no codes either, im kinda stuck lol! Also doesnt want to start again if i use it on a short run when its still cold!

is this when u are coming upto a junction for instance?  or just as you're driving down the road?
You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.
