Cleaning your GTI Grill

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,

Having just spent the best part of 2 hours cleaning the grill on my Mark VI GTI, using nothing but microfibres, fingers and various potions.

I would really like to hear your interesting and creative methods for cleaning all of the crevices on your GTI Grille.

Another one for cotton buds, an old tooth brush plus normal paint brush with the bristles cut down a bit.

Bare in mind he's asking about a mk6 which has a gloss black plastic grill, so a tooth brush will be too harsh and will scratch the plastic.

Your best bet is a couple of small envy type detailing brushes or your finger in a microfibre cloth, unfortunatley i don't think there is a quick way to do it although a jet wash does help.

yep... spray with mild TFR or similar... work into crevices with envy detailing brush, wash away with jet wash.. 2 bucket wash as part of your routine, dry. job done. maybe what.. 5-10 minutes work?  :smiley:

After a good clean/degrease/dry I applied Gtechniq Permanant trim restorer. Now less of a chore to clean and treat every time :smiley:
