Dash LEDs
« on: 18 July 2005, 22:37 »
Which LEDs do I need in order to replace the switch and Clock LEDs? I want to swap them for red ones. I think http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=302&osCsid=c60c8ecdeac22fed392ccfc0d12a6b21 is the right one for the clock ones but I don't know which 12V ones I need for the switches, can anyone provide a link? Also, is there anyway to illuminate the MFA in the same colour (i.e red)? If not what the best thing to do with it (white LED?). Cheers.

i bought these ones:
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=868&osCsid=c60c8ecdeac22fed392ccfc0d12a6b21

i also bought some of the ones in bulb holders, but they didn't fit very well so pulled out the led's and soldered them into the original holder, worked much better. the led's above are the ones i used for all my switches and the aux dials:

Hoe Joe your such a show off

I bought some LED's off them for my switches and clocks. they didnt fit at all in the clocks. had to solder them in place in the end. they do look kool but you need 2 more in the clocks like user 'MK2GTI2.016V' (ben) has done.

Another down side is that you cant dim the LED's so im going to buy a seporate dimmer and wire that in place. does get abit bright at night
