97 8v GTI immobiliser problem

Hi all,
im having a problem with the immobiliser, ive tried searching and google but cant find a definative answer.

I cant turn the immobiliser off, the led keeps flashing and doesnt turn solid so that i can start the car.
Ive no idea what make/model this immobiliser is, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

 had a plug in type immobiliser ,similar but not identical
inside the plug there were a few resistors  , that had a broken solder joint
may be worth checking inside it

just get it removed.  I removed two aftermarket ones on mine.

You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.
