I have family who have a breakers yard for audis + vw's in nottingham and have a specalist garage for VAG cars so i managed to get hold of another engine with turbo for 400 quid with only 90k on clock.. supposed to be a good engine.. now i hope this gets back up and running then im looking to flog it..ive only had the car for a week and this week has been the worst ever.

I would get someone to check further, if it starts then it is not seized, you may have got away without causing damage.

got it opened and checked.. the crankshaft was broken, it had completly cracked.. so got hold of a new engine and turbo and hopefully back on road soon..
