I live in Slough, Berkshire.

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic who look at my 16valver?

Been having problems for about 6months now. The engine hesitates occasionally when I put my foot on the throttle.
It also hesitates on its own aswell. I've had it all checked out, the distributor changed, fuel filter changed, throttle microswitch cleaned out. The car runs a lot better now, before the engine was cutting out when slowed down at junctions. The timing is ok.

Would like to resolve the situation as soon as.

Could be the isv module behind the center dash! i had similar probs and that cured it! get a second hand one though as they are expensive!

Give me a day or two and i will get in contact with a guy i know, see if i can through a bit of business his way, hes a dub nut and built and raced his own mk2. Will see what he says. He is just out of ripley.
